Support Group for Clinicians Navigating Parenthood*
Balancing the responsibilities of being a parent with the demands of being a mental health provider is no small feat and this group aims to provide you with support and community along the way. Together, we'll discuss strategies to make our work sustainable and offer one another support in ways that respect and celebrate our journeys, as both parents and mental health professionals.
*Parenthood is a term that can sometimes feel exclusive to those whose life experiences/family structures do not fit into the concept of society's idea of a "traditional family". To be clear, this support group is an inclusive, welcoming space for all mental health clinicians, regardless of age, background, identity or family structure. Life circumstances that we welcome include (but are not limited to):
You or your partner are trying to conceive/undergoing IVF
You are prepping for a child's birth/arrival
You just returned to work from maternity leave
You are wrangling a toddler
Your child is on the cusp of puberty
Your teenager just gained their learner's permit
You are a grandparent who is raising their grandchild
You are a primary caregiver for a child of any age
Series Details:
Date: 4th Tuesday of the month
Time: 10:00 a.m. CST
